Rafa Villalobos (Oaxaca, México)

Nacido en Oaxaca, Rafa adoptó el gusto por la cocina de su madre y abuela oriundas del Istmo. Fue jefe de cocina del Hotel Casa Oaxaca y más adelante creativo de este grupo (2013-2016). En 2017 recibe la invitación de formar parte del equipo de Sanchez Cantina en Copenaghue. Ha participado en talleres y colaboraciones con Jesper Gotz (ex sous chef del restaurante 108) y Claus Myer (ex socio Noma y chef corporativo Grupo Claus Meyer). Actualmente radica en Oaxaca, donde planea abrir su propio proyecto.

Born in Oaxaca, Rafa adopted the taste for cooking from his mother and grandmother who were natives of the Isthmus. He was the head chef of the Hotel Casa Oaxaca and later creative of the same group (2013-2016). In 2017 he received an invitation to be part of the Sanchez Cantina team in Copenaghue. He participated in workshops and collaborations with Jesper Gotz (former sous chef at 108 restaurant) and Claus Myer (former Noma partner and Claus Meyer Group corporate chef). He currently resides in Oaxaca, where he is planning to open his own project.
